Nikki Dowling, LCSW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with nearly a decade of experience helping adults overcome challenges related to trauma, abuse, mental illness, life stressors, relationship difficulties and family/parenting problems.
I approach my work from a strengths perspective, meaning I believe that clients come to therapy with inherent attributes and assets that can help them heal and thrive. I also believe that our pasts, particularly our childhoods, often play an important role in current conflicts and struggles. For that reason, I use psychodynamic and trauma-informed methods to help clients explore their personal histories.
I have specialized training in evidenced-based practices, which are methods and techniques that are proven to be effective in dealing with a wide range of issues, including substance abuse, depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder.
My goal is to create a welcoming environment so that we can work through and overcome challenges you are facing. I will work hard to help you find happiness and fulfillment. You deserve the best!
