About Me

Welcome!

I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Wisconsin) with 20 years direct practice experience in a variety of settings. These include; residential, in-home therapy, emergency services, foster care, adoption, and outpatient therapy. I currently work full-time as a lecturer and advisor in the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Social Work Program. I also volunteer as a Disaster Mental Health worker for the Red Cross.

My specialties include helping people with depression, anxiety, family challenges, self-esteem, life changes, compassion fatigue, and anger management. My theoretical perspectives/interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Expressive/Creative Modalities.

My approach to therapy is to create an open, warm, and inclusive environment. I believe it is important to work collaboratively and practice flexibility tailoring interventions to individual needs. I strive to provide support while identifying strengths. My goal is to discover potential, foster growth, and achieve a sense of wellness.

I look forward to meeting and working with you as we begin this journey!

Nina is a wonderful counsellor. She helps me develop strategies that are both practical and that yield results. Her schedule is very accommodating and I look forward to our sessions every week.

Nina creates a welcoming and open environment to share. She excels in validating feelings & thoughts while encouraging me to leverage my strengths to process in alternative ways. I appreciate her openness to tailoring her approach to specific needs and forms of communication. I look forward to continuing to work with her!

I've been working with Nina for ~ 2 weeks and I find her to be very kind, a good listener, experienced and knowledgeable. She's helped me realize some things already that I previously haven't clearly seen for what they were. I recommend Nina to anyone seeking counseling.
