About me
I, Norma Owens-Hixon, received my Master’s Degree from the University of North Florida in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have worked full-time at Northeast Florida State Hospital for 15 years, first as a Mental Health Program Analyst/Auditor and now as a Clinical Counselor in the Psychology Department. I have experience as a Child Protective Investigator, Family Service Counselor, and Independent Contract Therapist with the Department of Juvenile Justice through Daniel Kids. I am dedicated to facilitating positive growth and enriching the lives of others by endorsing an eclectic approach to counseling. In my spare time, I enjoy walking and arts & music.

Norma is one of the best things to happen to me in the past year.
