About me

I have worked as a social worker since 1985. I have worked as a therapist since 1989 in inpatient psychiatric settings and outpatient, including day hospital and rehab programs in the VA system with veterans and in hospice. I have worked with all populations from children to geriatrics, including childcare worker at an emergency shelter for children , and DHHR-CPS worker, to therapist for seniors from inpatient to outpatient. Becoming a therapist is a humbling experience and has taught me we all have struggles and life events that sometimes overwhelm us. My clients have included those with eating disorders, severe mental health diagnoses, trauma clients, those with depression and anxiety, those dealing with life changes such as physical loss or the loss of a loved one, including pets.
My toolbox includes using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness skills.
One of the 10 elements of mental health recovery is support. We all need support, both formal and informal. I am here if you need formal support from a therapist.

Olivia is a caring and compassionate listener. We’ve talked sporadically for 3 years as my busy schedule allows and it’s always nice to check in or even text when I can to share a bit of my wacky life.

She is great! She listens and understands. She gives helpful hints and tips. She answers in a timely manner even when I don't sometimes. 10 outta 10 stars!

She's a great therapist. I'm not leaving just canceling the billing

I was stubborn to trying Betterhelp as it can be a bit expensive paying monthly rather than weekly but I'm so thankful I did. I was assigned to Olivia and she is wonderful. She understands my struggles and challenges me to rethink my narrative. Most therapists I've ever had just listen. No one ever took the time to ask me to dissect my thoughts and that is fantastic. I still feel like giving up regularly but every so often I'm able to remind myself that maybe there is hope. Maybe one day I will feel better. Maybe. I have Olivia to thank for that.
