Oscar Guevara obtained a bachelor's in Social Work at Prairie View A & M University and a Masters in Social Work at the University of Houston. He is a native Houstonian, and bilingual. His experience range from mental health to administration in social work. He was the manager of behavioral health services at Spring Branch Community Health were he help patients from all age ranges and all demographic backgrounds. He partnered with community in schools to help patients with bullying, depression/anxiety and a host of other psychosocial issues. While his tenure there, he also conducted marriage counseling and host of educational seminars to help the community. He has also worked with acute psych patients where he conducted group, family, and individual counseling. Currently, Oscar Guevara is a manager of case management services working with HIV+ individuals with complex co-morbidities.
