About me
Hello, my name is Oscar Guevara and I obtained a bachelor's in Social Work at Prairie View A & M University and a Masters in Social Work at the University of Houston. I am native Houstonian, and bilingual. My experience range from mental health to administration in social work. I was the manager of behavioral health services at Spring Branch Community Health were I helped patients from all age ranges and all demographic backgrounds. I partnered with community in schools to help patients with bullying, depression/anxiety and a host of other psychosocial issues. While my tenure there, I also conducted marriage counseling and host of educational seminars to help the community. I have also worked with acute psych patients where I conducted group, family, and individual counseling. Currently, I am a director of clinical operations where I am working with acute patients with mental illness and other complex co-morbidities.
