About me
Life is what we make out of it. All my life, I have always been eager to help others reach their maximum potential. I pursued a profession in counseling because I wholeheartedly believe that it is the best way to positively impact the lives of children and adults around the world but I am also extremely passionate in the field of both mental health and special education. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. I also specialize in providing services for parents whose children have Intellectual Disabilities (ID), Autism (AU), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Emotional Distress (ED).
For the past 10 years, I have worked in a variety of settings, helping individuals as well as families to help develop a growing relationship with the individuals’ environment as well at their emotional and social well-being.
My style is very warm and respecting, I will not only actively listen, empathize, and create a safe therapeutic environment for you but I will also tailor my methods and treatments specifically to meet your unique situation. I have worked in various settings including schools, private. We will work collaboratively by using techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which focuses using hands-on practical approach to changing reflective thought that will help develop change towards behavior and emotions. I also use Solution-Based Therapy to help grow the perspective of focusing on the present future rather than the past in
problem-solving
I also provide faith-based counseling services for those clients who have a strong religious belief and practice in Christianity.
