About Me
Hello! My name is Pam Goucher. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Arkansas and Tennessee with over 30 years of experience working as a clinical therapist. I have experience in behavioral health and medical social work, so I have an understanding of the impact medical issues can have on someone's life. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma, parenting and relationship issues. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced alcoholism/addictions. I am familiar with the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. I am most comfortable with a Christian approach, but I am accepting of and have worked with various religious beliefs and lifestyles including LGBTQ. I come from a military background as my father was a Vietnam vet and my son has completed 5 tours of duty in Iraq/Afghanistan. I am also a grandparent raising a grandchild. So as you can see, I am a fairly experienced, well- rounded person. I understand that sometimes life just happens and we need help making sense of it all!
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I am open minded and accepting of others. I will not judge you or present as biased. My therapy style is eclectic, as I use whatever your unique and specific needs call for. I do tend to lean more towards cognitive-behavioral therapy though as I believe every situation provokes a thought--a thought a feeling-- which in turn produces an attitude or behavior. I also like to explore your family of origin issues as those early family dynamics do tend to influence who we are today.
I always start by reassuring my clients that they aren't crazy or weird...what you're feeling is normal for what you are experiencing right now. Anyone in your shoes would most likely be feeling the same way. It's okay and you're okay! We can figure it out together:)
I look forward to working with you!

I'm grateful for the ongoing support and understanding along my journey. Weekly sessions are a highlight for me.
She has been so wonderful listening to me and helping me understand my emotions. Therapy was something I was open to but unsure of what to expect and I've been pleasantly surprised at how much better I feel. She makes it easy to talk and open up and is very responsive!
My therapist gives me the tools to cope with an manage my life
Been seeing Pam for two years now. It's been quite the healing journey. Grateful.
Pamela is a great listener. She is very understanding and professional. She supports and encourages. Highly recommended.
I've only had two sessions, but my mind is always at ease whenever I finish talking to my counselor. She has been amazing. It feels like I'm talking to one of my friends every time we talk! I couldn't have asked for a better woman to counsel me.
She is an amazing therapist.she cares and really listens to what I am saying.
She has a way of re-grounding me when I get a little too lost in my thoughts and emotions. I really appreciate the effort she puts into me as a patient.
Very pleasant and attentive! She makes me feel heard and understood!
Pamela is a well qualified therapist and listens to my concerns every single time. She doesn’t judge or criticize instead offers advice that is very useful to me.
I feel very comfortable working with Pamela Goucher!
Pamela Goucher has been extremely supportive and patient. She's given me extra momentum to schedule further appointments despite my resistance. 5 stars all the way
I really appreciate how easy it is to speak to her about what is on my mind and she is a great listener. Also she has lots of insight on what I am experiencing and feeling.
She is truly a Godsend. Pam has a great memory and really cares because she is able to follow very complicated situations and discussions. She can weed through all of the conversations and really understand what’s going on. She’s so empathetic and is able to clearly communicate what’s going on and what to do. I am so thankful I got matched with Pam! She’s doing Heaven’s work.
Pamela is absolutely amazing, she has sincerely helped me and is always supportive. One of the best decisions I’ve made was to join Better Help, and I’m so happy and blessed Pamela is my counselor.
I feel like I’m taken care of in the best way possible! Pam listens to my concerns and helps me work through things.
Pamela is great! I am back after not having seen her and I definitely missed having our sessions! She is a great listener and will give you advice that I'd pertinent to your situation, not just generalized information.
A mental health Ninja. End of. BPD, PTSD, and a number of you there issues I'm trying to work through. Pam listens, and when she is ASKED (I wish I could underline that!!!) Gives solid advice. Incredible lady. Eve no better Therapist.
She really cares about her clients.
She was so patient with me until I was ready to really work on my issues. She never pressured me in any way.
Pamela has saved me in more ways than I can describe & grateful doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about her counseling, she’s changed my life.
She’s been a great deal of help with helping me cope from stress management, to children and many aspects of life.
She is amazing, helpful, and insightful.
Although I’ve only had a few short sessions with Pamela, she has really taught me a lot about my own mindfulness. She is encouraging, helpful, a good listener, and supportive. She makes you feel understood even if you don’t understand yourself.
I am definitely continuing with Pamela for many more sessions.
Pamela is by far the best therapist i’ve had, she’s sweet and makes me feel like she really is listening to what i have to say. My mental health has gotten better since signing up for betterhelp and i owe it to Pamela!!
She’s very professional but she helps me in a way that’s designed for me. Not like a standard counselor who just says things without reading into you. I’m glad I’ve met her.
Pam helped me and my wife strengthen our relationship, both in terms of romance & communication. She listens and understands without laying judgement.
Pamela is amazing. She has helped me discover so much about myself and my family and friends that I was unable to uncover on my own. I would recommend her to anyone, and I've recommended betterhelp to a handful of people based on my experiences so far with Pamela.
I would recommend Ms. Goucher to anyone in need of a compassionate/friendly ear. I have every confidence she’s has the expertise and empathy needed in order to help me succeed in my mental health journey.
I was nervous about finding a new person to talk to, as I have had therapists I did not mesh well with in the past. I am very thankful I was matched with Mrs Pam. She is kind, easy to talk to, and I look forward to our future sessions!
She's great!

Ms Pam has been incredible for my family! She is helping us navigate through some very difficult waters. I trust her expertise and appreciate her empathy for our situation and how well she juggles all of it at one time.
Pamela is extremely insightful and really makes me feel seen and heard. Thank you Pamela!
I absolutely adore Pamela! We just had our second session. She is easy to talk to, very nonjudgmental, and it helps to have someone other than my friends or family to speak to!!
Pamela has been extremely insightful to my needs and situation. She’s also very kind and courteous. She’s available anytime I need.
Best choice I’ve made.
Through the two sessions I have had with Ms. Goucher, I have come to find that I am supported in the fight of my depression. It has helped me considerably as we all enter this time of crisis in the United States. I have been known to absorb tension in my family and a lot of this problem has increased my anxiety and my depression. Ms. Goucher has listened to me through all of it and I am in a much better place because of it.
I have been working with her for a few weeks now and I always feel validated and supported. She’s calm and understanding. I don’t feel like a client when I’m talking to her. She makes me feel like a human being. She is incredible and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for support and guidance.
Pamela has been wonderful! She is repspobsicw and knowledgeable about my situation and provides helpful tips, worksheets and processes. I have felt extremely comfortable speaking with her about all aspects of life. I am extremely grateful for her at this time in my life!
