About me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who has a genuine desire to help others. My approach to therapy begins with deep compassion toward each person's unique struggle. Nobody's life is perfect and we are all on separate roads with different obstacles through this journey. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or are having difficulty adjusting to life events, I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe, comfortable and free to express yourself in an honest way. I believe this is a very important element in our partnership.

My treatment approach is quite integrative but not without focus. I believe that a unique therapy experience should be created for each person. I utilize and appreciate research based methods, yet I also understand that there is no one formula that will best serve all those that enter therapy. Thus, I make adjustments and pull from a variety of methods to create a comprehensive and beneficial therapy experience for all clients. I use many different interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy , Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused and Expressive arts. My theoretical background is in attachment and psychodynamic theories.
I am client centered, often reminding my clients that we follow your pace! I help you explore systems that are at play and attachment wounds. I understand that seeking help is a strength and I am honored to work with my clients. I also remind my clients that therapy is like stretching our emotional muscles, sometimes it is challenging!

I make it my aim to work as a team with you to reach the goals you choose to set for yourself. I provide support and insight so that my clients can gain a better understanding of themselves while gaining helpful tools to address life's challenges. I recognize how difficult it can be to seek support, and I encourage you to honor yourself for doing so. If you are seeking a non-judgmental therapist that will validate, challenge, and motivate you while helping you gain greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and the capacity to reflect on life experiences, I invite you to contact me to assess further if I may be a good fit to partner with you in therapy. I am committed to connecting you with the care and services that will allow you to live your most fruitful life, and if we come to the conclusion that I am not the best match for you, I am happy to provide referrals. I believe it is my privilege to be welcomed into your world and to become a partner in your healing. Video sessions available. Call or email for a free phone consultation!
