Patricia Natanagara, LPC
About me
I have been a therapist for 25 years. This breadth of experience provides me the honor of working with clients from a variety of ages, backgrounds, beliefs, genders, and sexual orientations. I found my calling 30 years ago when I was a childcare provider. I am fascinated by how we develop into the people we now are. What makes us feel how we feel and do what we do? When life is hard and confusing and messy, how do we cope? Those are the struggles we all face but we think we are the only ones. We feel isolated and frankly lousy about ourselves. Therapy can decrease the pain of isolation, increase self-esteem, and help us feel more in control. I get to help people through that process; this is why I love what I do.
My roots are in trauma work, but I also focus on generalized anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. I work with people of all ages and have extensive experience with adolescents and young adults. My treatment model is integrative; I use cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and motivational interviewing techniques. I believe in adjusting my model to what is best for the client. I also prefer an honest and direct approach with clients. If the therapy does not feel like it is working, I want my client to tell me. We can figure it out together. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and I look forward to working with you!

Patricia is very prompt with her responses and is very insightful. I was apprehensive about grief counseling and the process, but am very happy with my counselor. Can’t say enough about how compassionate, caring, and helpful she has been.
