About me

Hello! My name is Patrick, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), with over 10 years’ experience working with families, couples, and individuals. I currently maintain licenses in both Georgia and Texas.

I completed my B.A./Psychology at Baylor University and went on to earn my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling (MA/MFT) from the University of Phoenix. Although the title of my degree states my specialty is in Marriage and Family Systems, I want you to know that it’s not only the degree that qualifies me as a Professional Therapist – it has taken a combination of formal education, career, and personal experience to allow me to say I’m very confident in my ability to help families, couples, and individuals (age 13 and beyond) work through issues that affect us all. Conflict resolution, a need or desire to learn better communication skills and styles, coping with (and thriving despite) anxiety issues, depression, grief, addictions, and substance abuse, are concerns that either we – or someone we know and are closely connected to – so often must contend with at some point or another.

My counseling style is direct and honest, and yet considerate and compassionate. I believe in treating others with respect, and where needed, helping my clients to do the same for themselves and their loved ones. including oneself. Great strides are made in self-care when an emphasis is placed on responsibility for one’s own actions and choices, in conjunction with identifying root causes for the issues you seek help for. My approach is a combination of cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused therapy, with narrative styles that won’t put you ‘in a box’; rather, we will work together to find the best way to address your concerns. I want to help you through these difficult circumstances, and see you thrive!

I know it’s daunting to think about talking out loud to a therapist, and to begin addressing the issues you continually have concerns about; that’s the point where it ‘gets real’. I want you to know I appreciate the grit and courage it takes to take that first step, and I’ll be here to support you from beginning to end. Whether working on improving yourself or your circumstances, be assured the effort will be not only well worth it – it will be life changing. You can know that there are answers to be found and choices to be made; it would be an honor to work with you and walk with you as you seek those answers.

Really good. Knowledgeable and listens well. Easy manner, clearly engaged. The best fit I've found. Highly recommend with confidence.

We love how Patrick is kind, resourceful, approachable and how he shared with us with the word of God. His advice were useful and his constant reminder of how we could transform our mind and be better version of ourselves is priceless. Would def recommend him to anyone who needs help or just someone to talk to. His reassuring and calming presence allows one to enjoy speaking and receiving from him. Thanks for everything!

I've only completed a couple of sessions in counseling with Patrick as my counselor, but can confidently say that he is an attentive listener, as well as discerning of the needs at hand. His expertise is beneficial and guiding through times of uncertainty and confusing experiences. I would recommend Patrick as a counselor in times when Biblical guidance is needed.
