About me

I am a licenced professional counselor in Virginia and Connecticut, currently residing in New York. With over 8 years of experience working as a counselor and life coach, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance concerns, family/relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and more specific diagnoses like autism-spectrum disorders and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced trauma or abuse.

My counseling style is laid back and tailored to the person I'm working with. I believe in unconditional positive regard, humor, and bringing out the potential that already exists within you. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and family-systems counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

I've only had two sessions with Paul as of yet, but I can already tell how beneficial it's been, and how beneficial it will continue to be in the future. He offers great insight into issues I've been dealing with for many years, and I'm glad I got referred to Paul.
