About me

Hi, I'm Penny, I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bacp.co.uk) and I hold professional insurance, work to the ethical framework of the BACP and maintain clinical supervision for your protection.

It's important to me that you feel safe and secure working with me, so we strive to be open and honest in our communication, set our own boundaries and talk about them.

I have been practicing Integrative Therapy since 2015, integrating CBT, Transactional Analysis (T.A.), Person Centred, Humanistic and Relational approaches to provide an individualized, non-judgemental counselling service to clients online and face to face.
I have worked extensively with addiction, anxiety and trauma, PTSD, people who have experienced abuse and coercive control, abandonment, neglect and loss, and people with autism.
I work with your 'whole self,' and through the therapeutic relationship we develop, (exploring your past, present and future, and how you experience thinking and feeling) we will find a way to find you clarity and a space to breath.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Penelope 'Penny' Grigg. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I plan to write a proper review but if these few words might help anyone :
Penny listens on a deep level, picks up subtle cues, gets deep into the matter and uncovers many layers very quickly. Her gentle and intuitive way makes it very relaxing and effortless.

Penny is a wonderful therapist who is kind and patient, which I would argue is some of the most important qualities a therapist could have. She is absolutely brilliant and I’d recommend her to anyone who wants to feel more empowered and confident in themselves.

Penny has been an absolutely wonderful therapist. She asked me questions I had never been asked and helped me become a different person in 8 weeks. I will never forget this

Penny has been a brilliant therapsit for me over the past few months. She helped me control my anxiety and I feel as though I now have a completely different mindset and can take on any task without my anxiety getting the better of me. Penny is such a professional and gives the best tips and activities, I especially found the breathing techniques the most useful for me. I highly recommend Penny to anyone, I can't thank her enough for how much she has helped me.
