About me

Hi, I am a counselor that comes from a background in schools. I enjoy all kinds of counseling but work currently in addiction counseling. I am an older counselor that still connects with younger people. I enjoy this work and have experience in several modalities and have approaches that are typically client centered. I serve each client as an individual and seek first to understand, then to apply what I see, as you direct. I am first a listener and then my training in several effective therapy styles such as Cognitive Behavioral, and Family Systems apply to you as your needs direct. I am a trained EMDR therapist and enjoy the quick progress that this approach secures in most clients. I am well versed in brain science and direct my approach to healing the reason that brought on the present dysfunctional behavior or feeling that you want to eliminate.
Thank you for reading this and I hope we can work together for the solution that you want to experience.
You are the most important person in the room, and I am happy to work to be a part of the puzzle piece that you have been searching for, for so long.
Blessings,
Philip

Before starting therapy with Philip, I was pretty nervous seeing how I'd never spoken to anyone other than close friends or family about my personal life. Because Philip is such a kind person, I opened up a lot more than I thought I would in our first session. I appreciate your help Philip and look forward to our future meetings. Thank you
