About me
Hello, my name is Pete Martucci and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, currently working in the state of Minnesota. I have been a practicing counselor for 3 years and I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. I am currently completing my PhD in Counselor Education with a specialization in crisis and trauma. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Counselor as well as a Disaster Mental Health Counselor. I have spent the bulk of my career studying the impact of trauma and how it can direct our thoughts and behaviors. I have worked with individuals across a broad spectrum of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, panic disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, body image, self-esteem concerns, addiction and other life challenges.
My therapeutic/counseling style is rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I believe it is an empowering framework that assists clients in recognizing and treating their mental health concerns, by challenging the way we think and how we act on those thoughts. I also will challenge you to move outside of your comfort areas and address those discomforts. In addition to CBT, I practice through a Solution-Focused approach that is helpful in addressing life challenges and stressors. I want you to feel comfortable in our work together and because of that I treat all individuals with respect, kindness and removed of any judgment.
It takes great courage to ask for help and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you as you move forward on this journey to a healthier life and mind. I believe the work we do together, is a collaborative process and I will assist you to learn, grow, and make positive changes that can result in a more fulfilling life.
I look forward to hearing from you and beginning our work together.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Pietro (Pete) Martucci. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Pete is a very thoughtful and intelligent person. He has been very helpful not only in educating me, but also challenging me to define things for myself. I would recommend him to everyone.
me and pete are like absolute besties, he listens to me and is never judgmental. he also helps me see different perspectives/options and he encourages me to keep on keeping on. pete is one swell fella for sure
Working with Pete has been a wonderful experience. Incredibly Professional. 10/10 would recommend
Pete is excellent! He really listens and pulls from a plethora of knowledge and experience on his end. We've had many great conversations and some challenging ones. The challenging ones are often because Pete knows the right questions or asks or issues to uncover, even if my subconscious doesn't want to. Truly made a difference in my life and my relationship with anxiety.
I highly recommend Pete as a therapist. He has been a huge help to me over the last year.
Pete is fantastic, flexible and is laser focused on what the root of the issue is. However, he doesn't assist in rooting out the deep issue, he also provides practical techniques that allow me to manage what comes up.
It is too early to provide an honest review. So far I am really happy with Pete.
I started therapy with Pete at a very low point in my life and one filled with so many transitions. I enjoyed working with Pete because he allowed me to express myself without judgment. Pete also helped me understand the impact that my previous trauma was having on my current relationships, thinking, and how I was showing up. He also gave me tips and tools for addressing my challenges more effectively. While working with Pete, I was better able to set boundaries and improve my relationships with others. Pete is a very understanding, caring, and effective therapist! I couldn't recommend Pete enough!
I have found Pete easy to talk to and incredibly insightful. He's helping me piece together all the various, related aspects of my life and my challenges, and guiding me toward finding new habits and perspectives. My anxieties and stress levels are so much more in control because of his assistance.
He listens to what I have to say and gives me suggestions and new viewpoints I hadn't thought of before to help get better
Pete does a great job listening, and then is able to zero in on the primary issue, discuss, and ask solid reflective questions back to me in a way that I am able to analyze my issue from a new perspective.
Pete is a great therapist. He really listens and knows when to get quiet even if I interrupt him! It is helpful to me that he is very willing to offer an assessment or reframe of the situation and give me helpful tips and role playing exercises to figure out how to change my own thinking and behavior. In other words, he helps me figure it out, unlike other styles of therapy that may only listen and expect the client to figure it out for themselves. Thanks Pete!
Pete is attentive, and very knowledgeable when it comes to issues of anxiety and attempting to understand the root cause of it and how to find a way forward!
He truly is the best I’d recommend him to anyone
Pete has been an incredible gift in my life, helping me navigate the most challenging situations I have ever experienced. He has a way of helping me identify what I'm feeling or what I'm struggling with even when I have a hard time figuring it out myself. He challenges me in a really productive and healthy way and helps get me "unstuck" in anxious/irrational thought cycles. I am grateful every day for his wisdom and guidance and help through this really challenging time.
Pete has gently opened my mind to different ways of relating to people in my life that help me feel more calm and less upset. I also learn how to have difficult conversations with others because of his example in our sessions of keeping a non-judge mental attitude.
Pete always knows how to guide me to the deeper truest feeling of whatever I am experiencing. And he doesn't tell me he just helps me get there myself. Which is far more enlightening
Pete is the best
I just recently started therapy with Pete, I think he is a good match for me because he is a great, listener and a good guide on what to do. I look forward to see the outcome of therapy with him
Pete is great and really listens to what I talk about. He understands as well and gives great advice!
Pete challenges me to examine things deeper and more critically than I would normally. I appreciate his ability to get to the meat of the issue.
Pete is caring and honest. I trust him to listen thoroughly and illuminate patterns in my thoughts and behaviors. He validates my feelings and understands. I recommend him highly.
Pete has been a pleasure to work with. He seems very knowledgeable and has helped me reconnect with my family.
Pete is exactly what I was looking for when I came to therapy. He doesn't mess around. He cuts straight to what's really going on. I've had counselors that kinda let you talk and nod, but I hate that. Pete's style is so much more effective for me, as someone who thrives on direct feedback. I really appreciate him and have made amazing progress quickly.
I really like talking to Pete. He takes time and asks great questions that help me link behaviors back to root issues. Then we can work on those root causes together. I also like that he gives me "homework" (lol). It makes it so I can continually move forward.
Pete has been such a big help in realizing my patterns and behaviors. He has challenged me in ways that other therapists have not, and he doesn’t stray away from uncomfortable conversations. I would 100% recommend Pete to anyone struggling with addiction, codependency, depression, or anxiety. I cannot thank him enough for the way he has helped me and made me think deeply and honestly.
Pete is very calming, and thorough when he speaks about subjects. I appreciate the time he takes to work through everything individually. He has helped me see situations differently and he allows me time to work through things when I had thought they were connected.
I found him to be very helpful. He is professional and compassionate and really listens and understands what you’re saying. It was a pleasure working with him.
As someone who has been through years of counseling and has a background in psychology, maybe a little more time listening and letting people talk through their feelings.
