About Me
Hello, my name is Pete Martucci and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, currently working in the state of Minnesota. I have been a practicing counselor for 3 years and I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. I am currently completing my PhD in Counselor Education with a specialization in crisis and trauma. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Counselor as well as a Disaster Mental Health Counselor. I have spent the bulk of my career studying the impact of trauma and how it can direct our thoughts and behaviors. I have worked with individuals across a broad spectrum of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, panic disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, body image, self-esteem concerns, addiction and other life challenges.
My therapeutic/counseling style is rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I believe it is an empowering framework that assists clients in recognizing and treating their mental health concerns, by challenging the way we think and how we act on those thoughts. I also will challenge you to move outside of your comfort areas and address those discomforts. In addition to CBT, I practice through a Solution-Focused approach that is helpful in addressing life challenges and stressors. I want you to feel comfortable in our work together and because of that I treat all individuals with respect, kindness and removed of any judgment.
It takes great courage to ask for help and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you as you move forward on this journey to a healthier life and mind. I believe the work we do together, is a collaborative process and I will assist you to learn, grow, and make positive changes that can result in a more fulfilling life.
I look forward to hearing from you and beginning our work together.

Pete has been a pleasure to work with. He seems very knowledgeable and has helped me reconnect with my family.
Pete is exactly what I was looking for when I came to therapy. He doesn't mess around. He cuts straight to what's really going on. I've had counselors that kinda let you talk and nod, but I hate that. Pete's style is so much more effective for me, as someone who thrives on direct feedback. I really appreciate him and have made amazing progress quickly.
I really like talking to Pete. He takes time and asks great questions that help me link behaviors back to root issues. Then we can work on those root causes together. I also like that he gives me "homework" (lol). It makes it so I can continually move forward.
Pete has been such a big help in realizing my patterns and behaviors. He has challenged me in ways that other therapists have not, and he doesn’t stray away from uncomfortable conversations. I would 100% recommend Pete to anyone struggling with addiction, codependency, depression, or anxiety. I cannot thank him enough for the way he has helped me and made me think deeply and honestly.
Pete is very calming, and thorough when he speaks about subjects. I appreciate the time he takes to work through everything individually. He has helped me see situations differently and he allows me time to work through things when I had thought they were connected.
I found him to be very helpful. He is professional and compassionate and really listens and understands what you’re saying. It was a pleasure working with him.
As someone who has been through years of counseling and has a background in psychology, maybe a little more time listening and letting people talk through their feelings.
