About Me

I am not perfect, nor do I have all the answers. But it is my belief that the answer is within everyone I service. As a counselor, I want you to consider me your tour guide. Along the journey, I will be present with you and point out important things. During the process, I will help equip you with the proper tools to improve your current state and overall quality of life. As a counselor, I am fair and consistent. I am authentic, sincere, and honest. I believe in humanism and being transparent. I want you to be able to trust me in the process and with your information. I promise to always be present during our time together. I will make suggestions, but ultimately the progress will govern the time we spend together. My approach is always person-centered but combines cognitive-behavioral, rational choice, humanistic, psychoeducation, and play techniques.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I have over 10 years of experience working as a counselor. I obtained my Masters of Education in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Delta State University. I have worked with clients ranging from ages 4 to geriatric. In that time, I have worked with an array of individuals with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulty, self-esteem, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar to name a few. I have worked with former offenders, Veterans, those with a history of neglect, abuse, and trauma. My experience also includes crisis services, adjustment disorders, substance abuse, in-patient, telehealth, in-home, and community-based services.

You have taken the first step to improve your quality of life. When you are ready, I will be there to provide the encouragement and support needed along the path of establishing and achieving goals. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.

PJ is such a wonderful therapist, I am so happy to be working with her. She has substantial experience with a variety of different therapeutic settings and forms of treatment, and with each appointment she listens and absorbs what I’m saying. PJ validates my experiences kindly and challenges me when I need a push. Therapy with PJ is productive and very healing, I’m lucky to have her as my therapist.

She is the best. PJ is what I needed in a really rough spot in my life, and has helped me keep going since. She tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear. So appreciative of her!

PJ has been integral to helping me understand issues that I've had, helping me to piece together why things might be the way they are.
Thank you so much, PJ, I have so much appreciation for you. Thank you.

I've been working with PJ for a number of months and she's been nothing short of incredible. She really listens and understands, and is super helpful with her advice and knowledge. Supportive and respectful at all times, with a great sense of humour. She works hard to be clear and consistent, always ensuring I get the most out of each session, as well as giving homework and tips via messages during the week. Thank you for being an amazing therapist, you are a treasure!!

PJ is the absolute best! I never liked therapy before because my therapists did not make me feel heard or made me feel dumb, she does not. I feel validated and like I can tell her everything. We have a great time and we even laugh about so much. She fully empathizes with me and she tells me what I need to hear. I can tell she cares about me and I truly love her! She makes so much time for her clients too, she has always been an amazing therapist to me, and I even see her as a friend.

PJ provided me with a lot of support, care and helped me to understand some patterns within myself that I was not able to see. She helped me broaden my perspective in the way I understand things, and it was a pleasure to write with her. It was a shame we could not do a phone call as my subscription ended and I couldn't renew it - but when I do I will 100% return to her.

PJ is a straight shooter, she doesn’t sugar coat or embellish her abilities she tells you straight out she is human and may not have all the answers however she will do what it takes to find the right answers from the proper channels and not blow smoke up your ass. I love real people who are down to earth. She is wonderful ❤️

I think I've been speaking with PJ for a couple of months now. She has always been very helpful and easy to talk with. If there's been an issue with the time of our session, she's accommodated change. She messages during the gap between sessions too, which I appreciate. She ensures you're not left adrift.

She's very good at what she does!
