About me

I am a Person-Centered Therapist in Texas with experience in Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). What this means is that I focus on our relationship first, getting to know you, your needs and goals, and then I pull in the therapy style that best fits you. Helping you find solutions that work and changes that last is my priority. I will work with you where you are right now, and help you find your path to emotional freedom. Together we will challenge unhelpful thoughts and rebuild your view of yourself in a strong, positive way. I seek opportunities to reflect back your own strengths, so that you can use them to help you grow and transform as you desire.

I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012 with a Masters in Community Counseling. I went on to complete my 3000 hour LPC-Internship at various locations, from community mental health organizations to private practices. I have 8 years of experience working with new professionals starting their careers, new parents finding their way through parenthood, and adults at the gateway of new beginnings. Within these groups, I have helped people overcome struggles with anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, low self worth and emotional trauma recovery. It is my passion to help others succeed and thrive in their lives. I look forward to working with you and helping you find your way to healing too.

Written on Jun 08, 2021 after therapy with Priscilla for 1 year and 9 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, sleeping disorders, self esteem, and coping with life changes

I have been seeing Priscilla for a few months and after experiences with a few different therapists for anxiety and depression, I can say this has been the best counseling experience I’ve had. Along with her naturally warm and friendly personality, she is always empathetic, understanding, and nonjudgmental. She offers helpful insights and a new perspective on issues I am going through, and is always very thoughtful in her responses. She often pulls in anecdotes from her own life as well, which I personally appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Priscilla to anyone.
