I am a licensed clinical social worker living and practicing in New York City for over 4 years. I have helped clients with a broad range of concerns including anxiety, stress, relationship issues, depression, grief, loss and living with chronic illness. I completed a masters degree in Social Work at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After my studies, I started my career working as a hospital social worker in various areas of care including the emergency department, intensive care unit, oncology and transplant services. I have had the opportunity to live and work in various regions of the United States, including the Mountain West, West Coast and East Coast. This experience has given me the ability to understand a vast array of demographics. I come from a multicultural family and understand the dynamics of growing up in ethic diversity. I enjoy the combination of urban city living and outdoor recreation and love to surf.
My approach to therapy is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and focuses on using techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. As your therapist, it is my goal to form a trusting relationship and provide you with a safe environment to explore emotions, identify things that you'd like to improve in your life and work together to achieve your goals.
I look forward to working with you.

I really enjoy speaking with Rachel each week and have seen tremendous improvements personally in how I handle the matters I choose to discuss with her. She’s very kind and understanding, relaxed and easy to talk to.
I’ve been working with Rachael for 6 months now. She has helped me come so far. She is understanding and fully listens to my needs. Every session I take away something helpful or insightful. I always leave with a homework in a sense of “keep tabs on how you are feeling physically” “write down the times you notice you get stressed” stuff like that. My habits have improved for the better and I’m better able to recognize and understand my own feelings and work through them. She is amazing and I recommend her to everyone! Thank you Rachael for all your help.
Rachael is very sweet smart and understanding, I can truly feel she is trying to understand what my view point is and the best way to tackle my problems. I am very thankful for her insight and care.
So far my experience with Rachael has been great. She has listened/read and considered my situations(s), and has offered me practical solutions to work with. While what I am going through may be the toughest thing I've had to endure thus far in my life (my reason for seeking help) - even though it may pale in comparison to other people's scenarios - I feel confident that I am taking something really positive away from my interactions with her.
Rachel is really good at pin pointing down the issues I am facing. She was able to help me boost my self-esteem and teach me couple of technics. They worked really well on me. Thank you Rachel !
Rachael is a wonderful counselor. She is understanding, supportive and offers just the right insights to guide your process into the right direction. I felt very safe with her and was always looking forward to our sessions. Rachael helped me a lot and i will reach out to her again in challenging times.
Rachael is very attentive and if I don't reply she will message me again to check in and make sure I'm ok.
Rachael is a great counselor. Thoughtful and thorough, and focuses on positive focal points as to not get down on issues. I like the different exercises she suggests - like journaling and different worksheets she provides. She’s a great counselor!
She is very good at understanding your issues and what to do to help you to be your ideal person.
Rachael has been my counselor for about 2 weeks and she has helped in so many ways!!! ❤
In this short time she has helped me more then I can explain.
I loved her work and I thank her for her precious time and attention.
Before I referred myself to BetterHelp I was so low and depressed, but since talking to Rachael, she has helped me thoroughly and think positively about myself and life in general. She is a kind and caring, helpful person who I would recommend to anyone suffering with low self esteem or depression. If you may not want to talk to family or friends then Rachel is there to listen and help advise you, I would like to thank her so much.
Rachael is awesome. Very attentive, knowledgeable and has great suggestions to help with things you just might not have thought of yourself.
In the beginning of my counseling with Rachael, I was completely unsure about myself and where my life would take me but after almost two weeks, I am starting to regain the confidence that I had lost. I can say is that it feels like an "AH HA" moment where a light bulb goes off and that feeling is simply priceless.
Rachael is very attentively and responds to my messages very quickly. She understands my issues and offers valid advice and questions for me to think about. She has helped me very much.
Rachael is a true professional. She understands, respects, and keeps me together. Her help has changed my life and I couldn’t praise her or BetterHelp enough.
Rachael has been very helpful for me so far and is extremely understanding. I feel comfortable talking to her and I don’t feel like I’m being judged or analyzed. She approaches my problems by helping me explore my feelings a bit deeper and provides me with exercises that facilitate thinking at a higher level. She also provides great solutions on how I can improve my current situation. I would definitely recommend her!
Rachel was wonderful, helpful, and responded in a timely manner. She offered sound advice and was very helpful and supportive for me.
I have had a very positive experience with Rachael. She listens well and offers thoughtful, well-timed advice. Her approach is open and tolerant and I leave sessions feeling understood and listened to. She pragmatically blends CBT and ACT principles. I couldn't ask for anything more from her!
Rachael listens well and provides solutions while trying to cope better with an issue. I would highly recommend Rachael! Her service has been much appreciated!
Rachel has been supportive and kind since the day I signed up for counseling. She always thinks about my wellbeing and provides me with many ways to cope with whatever I am dealing with. Rachel makes me feel comfortable to open up and tell her what I’m really feeling without losing a sense of professionalism. She has been extremely helpful to me as I’m sure she is for all of her other clients.
