About me

Are you feeling as though your usual coping skills are no longer working? Do you feel like you're irritable on a regular basis and no longer enjoying your life? Unfortunately most of us are not taught how to name, process and address dysfunctional thinking patterns as we become adults, negatively and drastically impacting our mental health. I hope to provide you with a non-judgmental and supportive environment as you regain control over your life.

I predominantly work with trauma, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and with those in the LGBT+ community. I use an empowerment/ trauma informed approach in my work and value cultural humility in the therapeutic setting above all else. I am a sex work affirmative therapist from a harm reduction framework. I truly enjoy this work as the therapeutic relationships that I have developed through the years have brought so much to my life. Most of all, this work has proven to me time and time again that change, is in fact, possible.

I was born and raised in El Paso, TX and have been in Colorado for 11 years. I completed Graduate School from the University of Denver in 2015 and have been an outpatient therapist in community mental health and though private practice ever since. Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I was a Victim Advocate for survivors of domestic violence and worked in the integration department at a refugee resettlement agency.
At this time I only provide virtual therapy but this allows for flexibility, evening, and day sessions. Please feel free to give me a call or send me a message in order to schedule. Unfortunately I am only seeing clients on weekdays 8-5 at this time, I am happy to meet early mornings as well per request. I look forward to meeting you!

I’m 25 and just started therapy for the first time in my life, and I think it may be the best thing I’ve done. I’m excited to learn and grow and Rachel has been amazing through it all so far!
