My name is Rachel Gurule. I am 44 years old and live in a small city in Oklahoma. I grew interested in becoming a therapist after seeing how much therapy helped my friends navigate some very difficult life circumstances. I tend to be reflective and suggestive in therapy, rather than directive. I truly enjoy listening to people and hearing their stories and experiences. I value input from clients about their needs and how I can best meet them. Positive change is always possible when we work together!

I had never gone to therapy before, so I didn't know what to expect. But meeting with Rachel each week has really thrown any cynicism I had out the window. She is extremely intelligent and seems to really grasp how I'm feeling every time I bring up a new situation. I never have any question that Rachel is listening to me and understanding me, and I'm always impressed at her ability to remember small details of things I mention in passing. I cannot recommend Rachel enough, and I am so grateful to have her as my therapist.

Having Rachel as my therapist has been a joy. She is very patient and understanding. On days when I just need to vent she listens intently and offers ways to deal with whatever I'm going through. She has applied many different techniques to help me learn to cope/calm myself/ and retrain my initial reactions in a variety of situations. Her voice is calm and soothing and she is open minded. I was skeptical of therapy at first and she made me feel comfortable and unjudged. She created a safe space for me to discuss how I'm feeling and what I've gone through, which I haven't had before. She even helped me create my own external and internal safe space. I look forward to our sessions every week and can't thank her enough for all she has helped me through.
My first session went really well, I feel bad that I completely unloaded in her but she was able to understand and help me focus on what we need to do.
