I am licensed as a professional counselor in Alabama and Mississippi with over 25 years of experience. My main areas of specialization are anger management, sexual assault, domestic violence, family conflict, child physical and emotional abuse, parenting problems, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety. I also specialize in helping pregnant teens who are struggling at school and home.
My therapy style is person- centered. I believe in the dignity of every human life and treat my clients with upmost regard and respect. I believe that each person is equipped with the personal traits, gifts, and strengths for overcoming a life crisis or problem, and that my role as counselor is to help my clients recognize and implement these valuable resources. I am compassionate, nonjudgmental, and don’t believe in stigmatizing labels.
