I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania with almost 20 years experience providing counseling across a variety of professional settings with a diverse clientele. A well-practiced and experienced professional, I am comfortable assisting with a broad spectrum of clinical issues. Areas I am exceptionally well-versed in include: development and adjustment issues over the lifespan, career challenges and unexpected life changes, developing a stable and positive sense of identity and self-esteem, and finding a deeper meaning and sense of purpose in one’s life struggles. Key issues include anxiety, depression, parenting issues, ADHD, ODD, developmental issues and/or special needs, supporting adults with autism, PTSD, sexual abuse or trauma issues, and helping adults recover from a traumatic or life-altering event such as a brain injury. As the parent of child with autism, there is a special place in my heart for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, their caregivers and their loved ones.
I am adept in helping individuals develop skills in a variety of areas including setting and achieving life-changing goals, bettering themselves in key life areas such as relationship skills, parenting skills and support, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving skills, conflict resolution skills, executive functioning, and developing a daily routine that reflects their individual goals for their life.
My counseling style is warm, empowering, and collaborative. My approach combines humanistic and cognitive therapies and employs motivational interviewing and reality therapy to help you develop a clear vision of the life you want for yourself, determine the steps necessary to achieve that life, and provides coaching as you work towards achieving your goals.
I look forward to joining alongside you on your life journey.

Rachel is absolutely awesome. She checks in when she doesn't hear from me for a while and she helps me see things that I wouldn't normally see.
Rachel is adept at getting to the heart of the issues I’m working on with grace and professionalism. Her questions are thought-provoking and the exercises she recommends have stimulated a lot of growth and insight for me, in just 3 weeks! It’s been challenging and enlightening, overall very helpful.
Rachel Wilson-Snyder is insightful and knowledgeable. She was able to identify issues that were overlooked by other therapists. Her expert input was extremely valuable for my own personal development. I greatly appreciate all that she has done to help me. I highly recommend her.
Rachel is a very good listener. She helped me by just listening to me, rather than offering advice unlike other therapists I have been to. She is warm and friendly and knowledgeable.
Rachel has been amazing. I needed someone to talk with. Very responsive. And extremely helpful. I work in healthcare and my husband was a therapist in behavioral health and Ican’t see someone within my community that isn’t a conflict of interest. I have been able to find someone to talk to about my grief that has been completely supportive and responsive. I am in favor of this new wave therapy as a healthcare provider myself. I f I want for Rachel, I would have to travel over an hour one way for one day a week. This is the future of healthcare. And I am thankful to have it now as I do need it!
Rachel.. she is helping me through the most difficult time in my life. She responds timely. Video sessions are comfortable and exactly what I need. I have gaiined son much in my journey in the last 2 weeks. And she also taught me that grief is not linear!
she is great!!!
I enjoy working with Rachel. She listens and understands my concerns. In addition, she is quick to reply and provide her advice on how to approach various situations.
Rachel does a fantastic job of listening. Even though you can tell she is very smart, she does not impose her intelligence on you. I really feel that I can trust her with things I have not told anyone else because she does not treat me any differently, having learned new things about me. I feel a healthy responsibility to do better because I feel that she believes in me. She has diligently worked to understand my situation and help me through it.
I haven't been working with Rachel for too long, but after our first video session, I was sure I made the right choice joining BetterHelp. I feel I can talk about my issues and concerns and I get a genuine response back that actually gives me some clarity and direction.
Rachel is an amazing counselor I’m still new to this and I feel completely comfortable talking with her; she has offered several viewpoints that really help me.
