About me

Hello! My name is Rae and I am a licensed couple and family therapist. I have 4 years of experience providing therapy in multiple treatment settings, including inpatient hospitals, military bases, outpatient therapy clinics, and medical offices. My training has prepared me to feel confident working with individuals, children and adolescents, couples, and families depending on the concerns needing to be addressed in therapy.

My undergraduate degree is in Philosophy from Wake Forest University, NC. I completed my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at East Carolina University and then moved from North Carolina to Columbus, OH at the conclusion of my education.

As a couple and family therapist, I approach all therapy work with a relational frame. You can expect to talk with me about the important people in your past and present as we search together for solutions to the problems causing you dis-ease. I will follow your lead and help you shape the pathway of healing towards the goals that you determine. I practice a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy. My aim is to cultivate a warm and inviting space for you to feel safe and empowered to ask (and answer!) the questions that need to be explored. I am committed to aligning myself with you as we spend our energy and effort on returning you to your best self!

I recently moved from Columbus to Lexington, Kentucky and am enjoying exploring my new home. In my free time I teach yoga and love spending afternoons reading or getting active with my dog.
