Raina Deer, LPC
About me
With over a decade of experience in counseling, higher education, and mental health, I am passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges while discovering hope, healing, and lasting change. I work with adolescents, college students, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, relationship conflict, life transitions, and personal struggles that impact emotional well-being.
My counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I draw from evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and trauma-informed practices, while creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. For clients who desire it, I also incorporate faith-based principles into the counseling process.
I have a special interest in helping clients strengthen self-esteem, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, heal from past hurts, manage anxiety, overcome depression, navigate career and educational challenges, and build healthier relationships. I also work with couples seeking to improve trust, resolve conflict, prepare for marriage, recover from infidelity, and deepen emotional intimacy.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, I understand that seeking help can feel overwhelming. My goal is to provide a space where you can be authentic without fear of judgment, gain insight into the patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical strategies to create the life and relationships you desire. Whether you are facing a difficult season, working through unresolved pain, or striving for personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, respect, and genuine care.
