Rebecca Bayliss
About me
Qualified in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Masters level, my passion and commitment to helping others has been lifelong. I specialise in Person Centred Psychotherapy, working with people to bring about change in their lives and working with a variety of Mental Health difficulties.
Creating a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your every thought and feeling, is paramount to the way I work. Together we will build on our therapeutic relationship, creating a space where you feel accepted for who you are and where you feel able to speak openly about anything, without fear of judgement.
There have been many times in my life where I have needed a safe space to be heard, fully accepted and able to express myself in various different ways. This however, has often fallen short. My aim is to provide this very space to you, to enable you to make important changes in your life, to enable you to choose yourself and to enable exploration to unlock your full potential.
With me as your therapist, we will not only explore your thoughts and feelings but we will go beyond that, seeking to connect all aspects of you together. When we experience life's difficulties, experience traumas and struggle with our thoughts, emotions and behaviours, we often disconnect our bodies from our minds. What happens then is we often lose sight of what is really going on for us, mistaking illnesses or bodily sensations as something to ignore or treat with medication. Whilst medication has its place, what I have found throughout my training and working as a Psychotherapist, is that often these physical symptoms are a result of unresolved, trapped emotions that can be worked through and released in therapy. My aim is to re-connect your mind with your body and then work with you to find soul-fulfilling activities for you to enjoy, which will give you a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

Helping me a lot when iv had no one to speak to. Making me realise that I am not worthless and that I do matter, helping me with self esteem , less people pleasing and my inner critic. Suggests things that I can look into without any pressure and listens to me rant even if its repeated things that I find hard to forget . Already helped me massively and prompted little ways to start things and get myselff outside. Knowledgeable therapist and kind. Always joins on time and replys to my messages

Rebecca is a competent and patient therapist. I often have a lot of thoughts and feelings all at once, and I feel like she not only listens to me but gives me new perspectives on the things that I am struggling with.
I don’t feel that I’m an easy person to talk to sometimes, but I’ve never felt anything but respect and professionalism from her.
