Dr. Rebecca Granda, Psychologist
About me
Rebecca Granda is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist. She completed her doctoral degree at Louisiana Tech University and has a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami. She completed her clinical internship at the New Jersey Veteran Affairs Health Care System. She then completed a post-doctoral residency in Melbourne, Florida, at Circles of Care, a psychiatric crisis stabilization hospital. Further, she was trained at the Overton Brooks Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, to provide evidence-based treatments for PTSD using Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Recently, she completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Prolonged Exposure. She is certified in Telemental Health to offer therapy using video technology. She is also trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Rebecca has been a clinician for 10 years. She has worked at many different settings, including a residential treatment facility for adolescents, college counseling and career center, community clinics, a forensic private practice, drug court where she provided weekly court consultation, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and a group private practice for adolescents and adults. In addition to being a psychologist, Rebecca enjoys teaching psychology and currently teaches Forensic Psychology.
