Rebecca Nelson, LPC
About me
My hope is for the therapeutic experience to be a user friendly as possible. I enjoy working with individuals who want to learn more about themselves, improve confidence and find empowerment! Individuals who are struggling and are looking for support in terms of interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, impacts of trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, problem-solving and who could use support in finding meaning from life experiences.
I think the greatest growth occurs along with the courage to explore oneself, make meaningful connections, feelings of competency, experience freedom of choice and build confidence!
I have a humanistic, person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy. I am relationship oriented; strength based and utilize positive psychology. I am a Certified Grief Counselor as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and I currently am training in Woman's Health although welcome all genders and identities!
I believe that the sense of connection and sense of security are the two most powerful aspects of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to be genuine, sincere, compassionate, collaborative and non-judgmental. I want sessions to feel inviting where you feel welcome and safe to engage. I love to laugh and welcome senses of humor :)
