Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile! I have been a practicing psychotherapist for 5 years, working in a community mental health agency in Chicago. I'm originally from Wisconsin, but have an adventurous spirit that keeps taking me elsewhere!! I'm happy to have the chance to provide therapy to those that may not have the time or energy to go sit in someone's office for an hour a week!
Working in community mental health, I've helped individuals address a variety of mental health and environmental problems, such as life stressors, anxiety, depression, attention issues, family conflicts, parenting support, etc. In addition, the context of this work was with low-income families who had limited resources and high stress in meeting their families' needs. As human beings, we are never dealing with one thing at a time, and I believe as a therapist, it's important to understand the nuances of how someone's symptoms, environment, and other stressors interact in order to provide the best therapy.
I approach each of these issues with a very empathic ear, and learned what I could about the individual in order to provide the best care possible. I take a very strong psycho-educational approach, helping clients to understand the patterns that are ineffective for them, and helping them to develop and understand coping skills, what their function is, and how to utilize them effectively. I believe that the more empowered we are, the more control we can take over our own reactions to stressors and symptoms, and the bigger impact we can have on our own mental health.
Thanks for listening, and if you like what you hear, let's talk! I'd love to meet you and support you in the best way that I can!!

Rebecca is amazing
Rebecca is a terrific counselor and has been very helpful in my process. She helps hold me accountable to my goals and supports my in my journey. She gives me a variety of tools and coping mechanisms that she helps me to adapt into more useful or understandable formats.
She is the best!
Rebecca helped and still helps me process my feelings, identify them and being able to correctly deal with them. She is very supportive and a great listener.
Rebecca is kind, understanding and thoughtful. She makes efforts to check in and see how I’m doing. In a short amount of time, Rebecca helped me make tremendous progress in reducing my anxiety and understanding where it’s coming from. She is very proactive in getting to the root of issues efficiently and empowering me to take steps to address them. Rebecca supplements her advice with take-home worksheets, which I find very useful, and I often go back and revisit them when needed. As someone new to therapy, I was worried the experience would just entail me venting and someone listening. I am so glad I was wrong. While Rebecca has certainly heard me vent about things, our sessions have never felt like a waste of time and she always helps me focus on how I can make things better going forward by developing better coping strategies and thought patterns. Rebecca has made a wonderful difference in my life, and I absolutely recommend her to anyone who wants to take proactive steps in addressing their mental health and be able to see real positive change.
Highly recommend Rebecca, she has helped me work through a tough couple of months after a break up, moving back with parents, starting a new job and the pandemic! She has always listened and really taken in everything I’ve said and remembered details from each session - I really felt like she cared and was invested in helping me feel better. I’ve managed to change my thought processes around negative thoughts and managed to work through a lot of painful thoughts and feelings with techniques and information Rebecca shared with me. I looked forward to every session and how I felt afterwards, like a weight had been lifted !
She's very professional and empathetic, the best therapist who made me fall in love with counseling. Talking to her is like talking to a life mentor.
Rebecca is my 2nd counselor with Better Help and I really appreciate not only her effort to get back to me and check on me, but you can tell she really cares about how I'm feeling. Definitely appreciated and would recommend.
Rebecca is amazing. She listens, understands, and tries to come up with a plan and solutions to move me forward in a healthy fashion. I highly recommend her! She is the best.
I don't know what I would have done without Rebecca. I have had so many unsuccessful attempts at therapy, it was from a lack of connection with the other therapists. She is helping me get to a much better place, I appreciate her kindness and guidance.
Rebecca is very helpful in times of crisis and listens to even the most long, drawn out messages and responds in a comforting, supportive, realistic way and in a timely manner. She’s great at keeping sessions and concerns organized so I don’t get overwhelmed by multiple issues that I’m dealing with.
I appreciate that Rebecca listens to all my vents and is basically a friend that’s always there when you’re frustrated or having a difficult time. It’s amazing to have a counselor you can reach out to at any time.
Rebecca is very supportive and always responds in a very timely manner. She's been very helpful to me during particularly uncertain times, and always has recommendations and strategies for me to try.
Rebecca really listens and finds what I really need help with and what I want to work on. Being able to feel comfortable to open up and dig into my life to find ways to improve myself and explain why I might feel a certain way. She is always quick to respond and works with me if I need a last minute change in my schedule.
Rebecca is incredible. She's naturally empathetic and supportive, and has great resources for me to use when we are not talking to one another. I feel comfortable sharing with her. The last couple months we have been talking has had such a positive impact on my day to day life. I'm so glad I found this website and was paired with Rebecca!
It’s early days but Rebecca has been a great listener and checks in on me throughout the week. She makes good suggestions and although I struggle to implement them, I’m taking baby steps in the right direction. Rebecca is very professional and I highly recommend her. I think we each need a specific style of therapy and counseling, which is why no therapist is perfect for everyone, but thus far this has been good for me, and I’d try her if you’re on the fence about trying this whole therapy thing. For first timers who are wondering if this is worth it compared to other options, I can tell you from someone who wasn’t sure before, that it totally is. I do voice calls which I wasn’t sure if it would be personal enough for me, but it’s been fine thus far, and being able to text Rebecca during throughout the week if I need to through the app is super helpful!
It’s really hard to find a therapist that you connect with, trust and respect their expertise and counsel. Rebecca is all of those things.
Rebecca is an excellent therapist, a great listener, and someone who has taken the time to understand my issues and been immensely helpful in guiding me through them. I've experienced significant positive personal growth in a relatively short period of time.
Rebecca contacts me daily and makes it clear she cares about my well being. I feel we're developing a great therapist\client relationship. She seems to clearly learn a little more about me every week and I have greatly benefited from her help.
Really helpful and sweet.
