About me
I love helping people. Connecting with others and learning about their diverse needs, is something that I have always valued. As a professional counselor, I have over 20 years in the counseling field both as a school counselor, and therapist in private practice. I have worked with clients from many diverse backgrounds. Some of my areas of focus include depression, anxiety, grief/loss, parenting Issues, and coping skills. I also accept EAP clients. Let's start this journey together.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, and solution-focused using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy as well as Internal Family Systems Therapy to empower clients to change the way they view themselves and embrace a more positive mindset.
As a therapist, I realize that the decision to seek therapy might not be an easy one to make for my clients. I make sure that clients know that I value their decision and will foster an environment where they feel confident in self-expression. My clients can expect a collaborative interaction in which their thoughts and opinions about their goals for therapy are valued. I will always ensure that there are opportunities for my clients to be active participants in their own therapy journey.
