I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida for 11 years. I graduated at the top of my class (magna cum laude) in graduate school. I have over 17 years of counseling experience. I am an expert in grief counseling, compassion fatigue, and loss to suicide. I am the co-founder of the Tampa Bay Chapter for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This non-profit organization is very close to my heart due to my own loss of a loved one to suicide 14 years ago. I have 8 years of experience counseling hospice and palliative care patients and their families and 15 years of experience counseling parents and their children who struggle with emotional and behavioral problems.
It would be a privilege to walk with you through your journey. I am open to counseling through chat, video or by phone and I look forward to communicating with you in the format that you find most comfortable.

A great therapist. Truly listens and gives applicable advice that helps.
Renee has been so helpful to me in processing my unique situation and to guide me towards positive insights and goals! So grateful ~
This is my first experience with counseling and I probably should have started much sooner. However, I'm grateful I was matched with Renee. She has really helped me develop some personal development/discovery tools and they have been a comfort in dealing with my grief.
I have been working with Renee for around 4 months now and she has really helped me improve my my general well-being during this time. Renee really listens to your concerns and works hard to be available to you. I like working with her because she uses a variety of techniques to understand and cope with anxiety and boost your self-respect and self-esteem. In the time working with Renee, I have never doubted that she is on my side and wants the best for me and the relationships that are important to me.
When I first came to Better Help I had a hard time finding a therapist. I went through 3 but they were not a good fit. I was so happy to find Rene and felt confident about our future sessions after the first one. She has helped me in a short amount of time with life adjustments and my anxiety. The sessions feel authentic and I feel like I’m being heard. She is empathetic but honest which is what I appreciate in a therapist. She is validating when needed but holds you accountable and keeps you honest.I also enjoy that she provides worksheets and teaches techniques. I do hope that when I’m in a better place financially I could resume sessions with her. I would highly recommend her.
Renee is very supportive and extremely professional. She is adept at identifying the issues at hand and making good use of our time together, as well as providing me with the appropriate tools to continue therapy between sessions. She has a nice way of being compassionate, yet firm and realistic, so that I'm faced with solutions to problems that are immediately useful. I would definitely recommend her.
Renée is very kind and understanding. She offers a lot of great suggestions and techniques to find the best option for you individually. She has a very positive attitude that helps to inspire good and healthy changes.
I’ve been working with Renée for about a month so far and have been nothing less than grateful for being matched with her. She listens carefully and is extremely helpful. I had no clue what to expect when starting this counseling virtually and am pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to talk to Renée. I immediately felt comfortable from day one and it’s almost as if I’ve known her for years. Thank you Renée and Better Help for truly being amazing.
She's great. Working with her for just a month was really really helpful to me - exactly what I needed.
Very warm and personable. She listens attentively and helps create a safe place where emotions are allowed. Renee has response time to chats and sessions are warm and inviting.
Renée has done a wonderful job of being empathetic, understanding, and encouraging. I appreciate that she is focused on setting goals as it is something I didn’t anticipate being an important part of therapy, but has proven helpful to me. She is ok with not having a specific focus for a session, but she steers me in that direction, which is something I am learning I need to get the most out of our therapy relationship.
