About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Washington, DC and Virginia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor licensed in Maryland. I have advanced training in working with survivors of trauma. In addition, I have experience with crisis management, relationship challenges, emotional distress, parenting problems, families who struggle to communicate effectively, grief/loss, and life transitions.
I know that therapy can be an intimidating process. My style is to use the therapeutic process to create a safe space for clients to explore thoughts and feelings in order gain a deeper understanding of underlying emotions and triggers that impact your life. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, solution focused, and existential counseling.
I strive to create a healthy therapeutic relationship with each individual/couple/family, in order to help you achieve your personal growth that will improve your overall quality of life. I will help you develop the tools to build a more meaningful life experience in an empowering way.
I look forward to working with you.
