About Me
My approach to therapy is client-centered: I believe clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy.
I employ an Integrative therapeutic lens, on multiple treatment modalities to help clients identify strengths and to develop treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Some clients may find they need short-term therapy. In these situations, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) may be used. Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) assists clients in exploring what they are doing well and how to focus on solutions to situations rather than focus on problems. SFBT strategies help clients to set goals and visualize what areas may be preventing them from moving forward in a current situation. SFBT provides tools that are measurable helping clients focus short and long term goals.
I am a trauma certified therapist utilizing approaches that works to ground the individual through mindfulness techniques, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to work through traumatic experiences and how these may show up or be held in the body. Each of these approaches can bring awareness to their body and how it holds memories or emotions that don't make sense such as anxiety, sadness, numbness, insecurity and even happiness. I work with clients to identify and using an exploratory approach to help bring forth awareness and healing as they learn to understand how these experiences may be causing conflict or confusion in their life.
Others may find they need guidance from a cognitive approach, in these instances we may employ use Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), and/or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in our work together. Through the use of CBT, clients replace negative or dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors and replace them with more realistic positive thoughts and behaviors. Clients may find through applying CBT practices that a change in thinking can lead to a change in behaviors.
DBT may be applied when a client feels they need help with emotional control and within their relationships. DBT has four modes of focus including mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation with the goal of teaching clients how to cope with emotional distress in a positive, more productive ways.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I am working to become a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher (TSY) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. I also enjoy reading, biking practicing yoga, and traveling to new places learning about different cultures.

So far rhea has been great and offered me some great resources.
Working with Rhea has changed my life for the better. She has taught me coping skills that help me through everyday. Her patience, kindness and compassion provides a safe environment to talk about your story; that was I first for me, so I highly recommend if you get a chance to work with Rhea definitely say yes.
Rhea is absolutely fantastic, her listening skills are amazing, and she really tries to make me feel comfortable sharing everything during our sessions. She's like a professional friend :) that makes me feel at ease when talking to her while always having great ideas as to what I can do to make my life easier. Thank you, Rhea!
I just completed my 3 session with Rhea. I am really happy with her and how she is helping me. Some of the things I have come to her with feel small and insignificant, but they are big for me and she always listens with an open heart. She is giving me the specific tools I have asked for to deal with things I am struggling with.
Rhea became my therapist at a very eventful time of these guys past few years. She has been a great guide for me to navigate difficult times and keeping my optimism up. She knows so many techniques and strategies to conquer very specific situations and I’m very thankful for that. But what I appreciate the most is when I explain any situation she listen so attentively she will tell you what she understood and give inputs about the situation that are insightful and helpful. I feel supported, guided and heard. I’m excited to keep working with her on my progress.
Rhea is a great counselor, she has been helping me so much. Thank you!

She is amazing !
Rhea is calm, caring and takes the time to really listen. She doesn’t patronise, or make me feel as though my problems are in any way trivial.
It’s good to know she is there to support me and only a text or call away. She has such a warm nature.
Just in our first session Rhea was able to make some actionable suggestions that immediately helped reduce some of my anxiety and find my forward momentum. Down to earth and practical, great listener, and lovely to talk to. Highly recommend.
The responses are not just “by the book” so in-depth and wanting to find out why and actually caring.
I worked with Rhea during a REALLY hard time in my life, and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. She had helpful perspectives, worksheets, and I so appreciated the loving presence from Rhea. I highly recommend working with her.

From the onset Rhea has provided me a lot of value and perspective. I've only had a handful of sessions with her and she has helped me to understand my experiences both subjectively and objectively. There is always an action suggested after each session for which I've seen success in implementing. I'm happy that I've been matched with a professional like Rhea. Her expertise is appreciated.
