Rick George, LICSW
About me
It takes courage to ask for help and to admit that we don't have all the answers. My name is Rick and while I don't have all the answers either, I am an experienced therapist committed to helping people process their history, make sense of their experiences, understand how to change behaviors and to chart a new life path forward. We are all on a journey and need others to support us along the way. I use a cognitive behavioral approach as the foundation to treatment along with solution-focused, client-centered and psychodynamic approaches. More specifically, I am committed to ensuring my clients feel heard, understood and supported able to make informed well grounded decisions in their life. My approach is to create an environment where you can unravel your experiences, understand them in new ways, and gain new insights as a result of deeper understanding.
If you feel that I may be a good fit for you, I look forward to hearing from you.

I have really enjoyed every session I have had with Rick. He does a great job listened to me and understanding what I am feeling. He asks questions that address the issues and has feedback that is extremely helpful.

Rick is an incredible therapist who helped me through a challenging time where I truly struggled to recognize the path which was best for me. Rick was incredibly professional, empathetic and a great listener but also he was great at helping me see things for what they were. He helped me identify patterns within myself which were hindering me. This was my ah-ha moment about learning about myself and why I was stuck in a situation if indecisiveness. But not only that, Rick helped me to see the different angles of my situation and supported me no matter what path I chose to take. He's responsive and just a wonderful human being and therapist and I would highly recommend him.

I felt comfortable speaking to Rick in our first interaction and he listened taking into account the difference in our cultures which is great. He spends time trying to understand my culture and background so he can be more helpful.
