"Help me." "I need to change..." These were two common statements from clients of all ages while I was in private practice for 11 years in Texas. I specialized in working with families with children and adolescents. I wrote books and spoke at seminars to help teens and their families. Now with over 20 years of experience my greatest satisfaction comes from helping clients with a wide array of issues focusing on making positive change happen.
Now, I am available online to help you change your life. My "prized" evening spots are limited to 16 (there's only one of me), but I do work 11am - 9:15pm during the week (offering 45-minute sessions only).
My diverse training allows us, together, to ascertain problems, develop goals, and set a realistic timeline for improvement. Each treatment plan is different for each client. My training as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Texas has allowed a deeper understanding of how you interact with those at home, at work, or at school. My "down-to-earth" conversations can even help your children or partner improve. My holistic approach can even incorporate your religious values.
Let's talk about how we can change your life.

Richard is a down to earth guy keeps the discussions light hearted but really makes you think about things and gives useful pointers and insights with how to handle things and explains them in a way you can understand in plain English. I would Recommend Richard to anyone needing some help getting through a tough spot

Richard has been a tremendous help with building my confidence and my spirits back up from a breakup. He knew exactly the right words to say and since I wanted a blend of Christian therapy and regular therapy, he did a great job providing me with those two types of therapy. I strongly recommend him for any struggles you may be going through.

Even though my relationship with Richard was short, probably a good thing lol, he was such a tremendous help. My Husband and I were having issues in the communicating department. Richard gave me exercises to work on with my Husband and he also provided different perspectives and encouraged me to see the situation from a different point of view. That in itself helped me understand my husband and my relationship even further. I loved that Richard took his time to check on me in between sessions and followed up on our conversations. Getting help from Richard was literally life changing because my relationship with my Husband is better and we’ve been able to “argue” more constructively! I’ve seen 2 therapists before him and lost hope in therapy but I’m so glad I got matched with Richard thru betterhelp
