About me

Hello my name is Robert Michael Mccaskill. I am a Licensed Therapist in the State of Georgia. I have worked in community mental health and private practice for the last 12 years. My expertise is related to working with individuals that experience life changing hardships such as divorce, deaths, and/or job loss. As humans we find ourselves dealing with unbearable depression and anxiety which causes us to reach out for guidance and education. This is where I come in to assist someone who is being proactive and wants the reachable goal of feeling better. Also my specialty spreads to mood disorders and working with all ages of individuals with trauma.
My therapeutic lens is person centered and humanistic, in which my clients are seen as the expert in their lives, while I assist and guide you through inner knowing, interpersonal changes, and healing.
My goal is to assist people in working towards fulfilling their fullest potential, healing inner child wounding and trauma, and regaining a new perspective on life.

Life is about change and some changes are more difficult to navigate than others. When we are stressed, anxious or depressed, it is a sign that our lives are out of balance. My focus is on providing a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental and compassionate space for adults, couples, and families to share their experiences and to help navigate through some more difficult life changes [positive or negative]; to create more balance in your life. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to make changes to improve their lives, find purpose, and meaningful fulfillment.

Robert is understanding, patient, polite, and flexible. He listens and offers tools and solutions that are well thought-out, but he also is willing to offer more suggestions if the first ones aren't as helpful as they could be.
