About me
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the State of NV. I have over 40 years experience working as a psychotherapist providing support to individuals and families. Currently, I counsel adult individuals and couples. My specialties are utilizing a mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioral approach with an emphasis on stress-reduction. I also emphases the learning of wellness practices with clients. Self-empowerment and personal autonomy are the general goals that underly my therapeutic approach. My expertise is teaching communication skills which is most important in achieving interpersonal effectiveness with significant others. Hence, I utilize a skills-based modality. Being a veteran, I also have a special interest in working with the military community including veterans.
