About me

I am an Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with children, teenagers, young adults, and their families.
Over the years, I have worked with many different situations.
Concerns with self-esteem, identity, life purpose, family conflicts, and trauma are just a few of the common problems my clients have wrestled with over the years.

If I had to describe my counseling style, I guess I would say that I am relaxed, attentive, and very interested in you and your needs. I am truly interested in people, and I receive great joy from helping people discover their strengths and purpose.

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person centered, acceptance commitment theory, and action therapy all within a trauma focused lens. The approach is adjusted to meet your unique and specific needs.

I understand that there are many ways to approach life. The greatest influences on the way that you think, feel, and act are determined by the influences of your past experiences, current life dynamics, and future goals. Many times the behavior patterns of your past do not always work for you in your current life situation.
To be successful today, it is NECESSARY that you take responsibility for analyzing your thinking. When problems occur, you and I will investigate and determine if you are resorting to OLD mindsets to solve NEW problems.
If you are ready to take action. If you are ready to do the work. Then it would bring me great joy to team up with you, and move you in a more fulfilling direction.

She’s the best! She gets me and understands my concerns but doesn’t make me feel bad about them, like I’m use to, she actually cares and wants to help me be better!!!

Robin has made a huge impact on my life! She listens. She challenges. She helps. I have found her therapy style to be a perfect fit for my needs. I'm encouraged after every single session! She is kind and gentle, but also firm when the occasion arises. It felt like I wasn't going to survive the life circumstances that brought me to therapy. Robin not only helped me "survive", but she's helping me THRIVE!

Robin is easy to talk to and I feel comfortable opening up to her. She is compassionate and caring, and she has a lot of wisdom to share. She has a way of understanding what I'm trying to say, and I appreciate everything I've learned from Robin. I feel very supported. I would recommend her as a therapist 100%.

Robin is amazing! She goes above and beyond to check on me regularly throughout the week and is very engaged in our sessions. She makes me feel like my situation is as important to her as it is to me.
