Robin Smith, LCMHC
About me
I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina with over 8 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients from a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, family dynamic distresses and poor communication styles, just to name a few.
My general counseling approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Biblical Counseling. I tend to combine the aforementioned approaches with other theoretical approaches, thus utilizing an Eclectic approach.
It is my goal to create a safe, accepting, and comfortable environment, which is conducive to allow you, the client, to experience an enhanced sense of self understanding and acceptance. Thus, creating a mutually desirable relationship focusing on goal setting and developing practical skills needed to deal with complicated feelings and situations.
Finally, aside from being a counselor I am a Christian and am available to discuss your presenting issues from a faith perspective.
I look forward to working with you!

Robin was just what I needed at just the right time. His approach is very personal and felt individualized. He has a way of helping you work through feelings you may not even realize you are experiencing. Even though we were virtual, it felt like we were in the same room and his care and compassion was evident.
