About Me

Aloha! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist from the state of California. I was raised in Oahu, Hawaii and had been living in Southern California for the past 7 years. I completed my Master’s degree from Loma Linda University and I have four years+ (and counting) of experience working as a therapist. I have worked in community clinics, elementary & high school settings, and a residential treatment facility. I have experience working with couples, families, and individuals. Adolescents and young adults are also a strong focus of mine. My areas of experience are: Stress & anxiety, depressive issues, anger management, parent-child relational issues, relational problems, and phase of life issues.

I would describe my therapeutic style as strength-based, collaborative, insight-oriented, use of humor and many metaphors! With our therapy process together, I’d like to spend more time knowing about you and assist you in “connecting the dots” or “fitting those odd puzzle pieces together” so you can live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

I was taught that we each carry an “invisible backpack” packed with difficulties, hardships, personal trauma in life. And these growing difficulties results in a heavier backpack which may one day become unbearable. As your therapist, I believe my role is to unpack with you so you can rest those shoulders, and/or train those “mental muscles.” Because sometimes life doesn’t get easier, but with the therapeutic process, you have strengthened your endurance. You will thrive.

She has a very good memory and helps out a lot with at home problems that I have no one to talk to about. She is very supportive and doesn’t judge at all.
