Rosamund "Ros" Day
About me
About Me
I'm Ros Day, a BACP registered integrative counsellor with a calm, grounded approach and a deep understanding of life’s turning points. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 25 years supporting people in emotionally complex situations—from working in the Diplomatic Service and women’s prisons to teaching in schools and volunteering on listening lines. I’ve personally navigated major transitions: career shifts, relocation, cultural change, and retraining later in life. My time spent with teenagers and young people grappling with internalised pressure and expectations has also provided me with knowledge and skills. that I wish I'd known earlier as a parent! These experiences shape how I work—with empathy, honesty, and an appreciation for how tough, and transformative, change can be. I am also continually improving my skills and have recently been awarded a Masters with Merit in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing. Whether you're facing anxiety, shame, grief, burnout or a shift in identity, such as taking retirement or relocation, I’ll meet you where you are and support you in moving forward at your own pace.

Ros is kind, gentle and really listens. She guides the conversation yet allows it to progress naturally as the thoughts come.

I was able to connect with Ros immediately. From the outset, I felt safe, listened to, and able to speak openly. She asks thoughtful questions and says the right things at the right time, which has helped me reflect without feeling pushed or judged. It’s early days, but I’m very glad I’ve started working with her.

It is unusual for me to find a therapist that I connect with right away. I am so impressed with Better Help and their suggestion of Ros as my Therapist.
Ros is excellent at listening and challenging my point of view in a safe and non judgemental way.

Ros is easy to talk to and open up to-it feels like you are talking to a friend in a way. She has been really good at listening to me, asking me questions that allow me to think and dig a bit deeper as well as sharing expertise about known theories or areas of psychology to support me. I already feel like I have made progress in such a short space of time. I particularly like the messaging feature because I can just put anything on whenever I feel it or think it for her to then read and respond to . This has felt like the therapy is supporting me daily, not just in an arranged weekly session.
