About me

“You learn more from failure than from success. Don’t let it stop you. Failure builds character.” We all face character building moments. Moments that test what we know to be true and redefine how we view the world. It is during those times a person recognizes how essential it is to have someone to talk to. The first step is always the most challenging but taking that step can lead to a new life.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I endeavor to provide treatment which incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques. I also utilize Solution Focused Therapy and believe in applying a humanistic perspective when working with others. It is important to recognize that therapy is variable, and one method/technique will not work for everyone. I strive to meet my clients where they are and provide sensitivity and care.

I have worked with many people from youths and young adults to more seasoned individuals. My approach to therapy involves helping people navigate concerns and work towards improving interpersonal relationships. It takes tenacity, perseverance, and determination to overcome trials. If you are open to working through your concerns, I am here to provide unconditional support.

I look forward to helping you take the next step in your journey!

I love Dr. King! She listens and hears what I am trying to explain whether my words do a good job of explaining it or not. I can feel that she both cares about and understands my concerns. She provides the tools and insight to help guide me through my understanding and growth as an individual. I definitely would recommend her to others!!

Dr. King is professional, whilst being very caring and considerate. She gives you various ways to think of situations and tools/exercises to work on. I've had a few counselors on here and I'm so happy I matched Dr King, I try to be active with my self help but Dr King takes it one step further. She has been a massive help whilst I've been going through such a big transitional time in my life. If you want somebody who replies in a timely manner and with invested engagement she's the perfect pick. She also has a lot of knowledge.
