I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in North Carolina and Wisconsin with over 5 years of experience working as a therapist and case manager for teens and families in the justice system and Veterans. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, involvement in the justice system, long term incarceration, substance abuse, ADHD, PTSD, life satisfaction, and various forms of abuse and trauma.
My counseling style is very supportive and empowering but I will also always be transparent with what I believe you need to hear. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I seek to reduce the stigma and stress associated with accessing therapy. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, narrative, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I will work hand in hand with you to develop a treatment that works for you as a unique human being with unique needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ryan Jones. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Ryan is understanding, and easy to talk to. He is easy to connect with . Using BetterHelp was a tough decision for me to make and working with Ryan made it feel like it was the right decision right away.
Ryan is very good at challenging me, I needed that.
Ryan is a very unique individual. He asks difficult questions that push me to think and appreciate my life. Don't sign up to work with Ryan if you aren't wanting to work through the adversity in your life, but I believe his style is built for anyone up for the challenge.
Ryan is really great for anyone who is looking for a therapist who not only listens, but creates a friendly and natural environment. He has a casual manner that allows for therapy to be less stressful. I always feel comfortable sharing things with him and the techniques he has taught me to help with multiple issues have really helped.
Ryan is very profrssional and helpful. I was not very much into the concept of therapy. But the sessions really helped me. He adopts the style that is very much personalized to the individual needs
Ryan is super cool and seems to know what to say to get me to reflect. He has also been very helpful in helping me find ways to manage my anxiety and give me a different perspective on dealing with myself.
He is so easy to get along with. He feels like a friend I’ve had forever, in that he understands me to my core. I can’t say how thankful I am for his advice and gentle nudges in the right direction.
I've really enjoyed working with Ryan.
Ryan is a fantastic therapist that makes a clear effort to listen actively, understand your issues, and provide appropriate advice or experiences. It is hard not too feel comfortable with Ryan
Thru the 2 weeks I have been working with Ryan, I find him to be an understanding & caring individual who is vested in making my life more productive thru changing my focus on what's going right vs past mistakes. This has helped me focus on where my life is going and the new possibilities achievable with a positive mindset. Thanks & looking forward to a continued exploration & positive journey.
Ryan always responds in a timely matter, and checks in on me on a weekly basis, even though we have not been engaging in conversation for the last 3 months. I appreciate what he has done for me and would recommend him to anyone.
Ryan is supportive, constructive, but also not afraid to challenge. He understands what is important and is able to recognize what type of support is needed and when. He is open, honest, and good to work with.
I have only had one session so far with Ryan but so far he has been excellent and most important honest. I appreciate the time he takes to check in even when not actively in a session. I believe he genuinely cares.
I enjoy, appreciate and do well with his straightforwardness. I feel like I’m talking with someone I can relate to, even though it’s in a professional setting. He is very approachable and human. He’s also calm and a good listener. His intuitiveness about the thoughts I try to communicate, but sometimes don’t have the words for goes a long way towards making me comfortable and helping me feel understood. I have made progress in handling everyday life and problems better since I’ve been speaking with him.
Ryan is the first person I have talked to for therapy and he has made the experience great
Thank you for all you do! May not seem like much but I’m starting to feel better
He’s been fantastic in helping me break down personal problems.
I have only met with Ryan a couple of times, but I already feel like he is helping me. He is super knowledgeable and relatable. I appreciate all of his insight.
He has been very helpful with a lot of my issues so far. I've only been in this for a week or 2 but I feel like it is helping Angie is given me good ideas to get through each day and each obstacle I have
Ryan is great!
My experience with Ryan so far has been absolutely amazing! He has been very supportive and I really am glad to have him as my counselor. I know I have a long way to go but I know I finally found a counselor that truly does care and will help me work on being a better person!
