About me

Firstly, I believe that every individual is capable of making long-lasting change in their lives, and I am here to partner with you on this journey. I take a person-centered approach to focus on what is the most impactful for you. I acknowledge that growth and healing is not always linear, and know there are opportunities for growth in more challenging times. I use my empathetic, compassionate, and earnest nature while working with you to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe while being vulnerable.

I earned my Bachelors in Social Work in 2017 from Michigan State University, and continued on to receive my Masters in Social Work in 2018 from the University of Michigan. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#6801113592) in the state of Michigan. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This is a philosophy of psychotherapy which looks at the relationship among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how they may contribute to problems. I additionally take a trauma informed, feminist, and socially conscious approach to aid with understanding how our intersecting identities and privilege shape and inform every aspect of life. I use a variety of techniques in therapy and use what works best for you. My areas of specialized training and expertise include LGBTQ+, survivors of trauma, survivors of gender based violence, depression, and anxiety. I additionally have experience and am willing to write letters of support for individuals seeking Gender Affirming Care (HRT, surgeries, etc.).

Ryan was excellent at reaching out to me to lend support and maintaining a window of therapeutic connection, even when I was distant for personal reasons. He asked good questions and offered some crisis support/knowledge. It mattered to know I had him as an outlet for all that was going on in my world at the time, and could call upon him as needed. Thank you Ryan!
