About me

Therapy can be a life changing catalyst, helping clients make their journey toward more enriching and fulfilling relationships with themselves, their families, colleagues and friends. Sometimes big changes have to be made, other times, just looking at a problem in a different way can assist a client toward more of a feeling of control and agency. Some clients have grown up not being known by their families at all, no one was all that interested in them when they were kids, and this can mean that more intensive work is occasionally needed. Some clients can be feeling anxious about powerful feelings (such as anger) and this can lead them to think there is something wrong or shameful about them, which can lead to the client feeling very alienated.
I find it beneficial to encourage more creative ways of thinking about problems, exploring alternative approaches, to the way we see ourselves and the world. As a therapist, I am constantly appraising and adapting the work, so that we, me and the client, can explore the inner life of the client together. To be heard by a non-judgmental witness can be truly transformative and powerful changes can be made with the companionship of a caring therapist by a person’s side. This is the basis on which I approach the development of my work and relationship with clients.

Sally is wonderful. She is very professional, and extremely interesting to talk to. She is great at challenging me and my thoughts, and has helped me open my mind and accept the chaos that is life. She has been a massive help, and I look forward to our sessions. Her style of therapy has been exactly what I needed.
