Samantha Godoy

About Me

Welcome! My name is Samantha and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a license in Utah and in the process of obtaining one in Oregon. I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Utah in sociology with an emphasis in criminology. Followed by my Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling. I did my internship work at the Utah State Hospital dealing with the severely mentally ill population. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group psychotherapy as well as psycho-educational groups. I am trained in TF-CBT, adult and juvenile sex offender treatment and domestic violence treatment. I enjoy all aspects of working with a variety of populations. I have currently returned to school to obtain my PsyD so I can learn more effective treatment modalities and begin psychological evaluations.
I am a person centered therapist who uses an eclectic approach to therapy. I use evidence based treatments such as cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness. I begin treatment where you are ready to start and we tailor your treatment together. I am sensitive to cultural differences and understand the importance of acceptance. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Together we can build a treatment plan and start working towards your goals. I look forward to working with you.
