I am a firm believer that our present self is shaped by the traumas and negative experiences we’ve survived. In therapy, we open wounds that have been bandaged up over time. Opening up these wounds causes us to feel vulnerable, which is why it is important to me that my clients have a safe place to work through these difficult times. I am committed to listening and providing individualized support through your healing journey.
In 2015 I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I come with experience in working in an outpatient setting facilitating groups as well as individual sessions. EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, an evidenced based treatment modality for addressing trauma. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma history, abuse/neglect, and interpersonal effectiveness.
I focus on adults of different ages and diverse backgrounds drawing on CBT, ACT, and DBT skills to help change situational perspectives. By changing the way you think and developing acceptance can empower you to make great change in your life. My goal is to help you set and achieve what you desire in therapy whether it is a safe place or a place to work through difficult issues. I am there for you.
