About me

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I have been a practitioner since 2011 and have continued studying and working in private practice to enhance my learning.

I have been working closely with First Responders & Veterans from the UK, US & Canada and I have established an excellent reputation for making my clients feel at ease which encourages them to talk about their experience and the changes they wish to make in their lives.

You do not have to be a veteran or first responder to work with me, it is not a pre requisite. I work with anyone who wants therapy, my therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

My approach combines cognitive behavioural therapy, humanistic, and psychodynamic modalities. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I am a specialist trauma therapist and have written keynote speeches and Continuing Professional Development awareness courses in PTSD and Suicide. I have been a keynote speaker for The Metropolitan Police Specialist Firearms Operations Unit (SCO19) and The National Crime Agency (NCA) regarding PTSD.

I offer Video and Telephone sessions. You can message me in between sessions, but I do not offer messaging sessions.

Helps me sought my thoughts. Clear, direct, compassionate

Written on Dec 04, 2025 after therapy with Samantha for 2 weeks on issues concerning relationship issues

I have struggled with moderate to severe anxiety for all my life. Mainly around work issues related to me creating risks and causing disasters and the fear that I feel every day about the fear of responsibility for causing bad things to happen.

I have had a number of therapists in the past (maybe around 7 or 8). I had differing experiences with these therapists. I have now been speaking to Samantha on a weekly basis for around 5 months I believe. I really feel now that I have found a therapist that works in a way that is very effective for me.

Firstly, Samantha is super warm and obviously cares a lot about her clients. It is very obvious from how she speaks to you that she really puts herself in your shoes. I have had therapists before who, I believe in the aim of being professional, have failed to make that personal connection with me. For me having someone who I feel is invested in me as a person is super important and Samantha is exceptional in this regard.

Secondly, Samantha is not afraid to tell you as it is when that is the right thing to do. For example, during one of our review sessions after two months she told me that over the past few weeks it was clear that the therapy had not been working. This allowed us to quite frankly address why I wasn't improving. This has in turn allowed me to identify what I actually need to do to improve. Too many times with previous therapists I have gone through the motions and said things were fine, when there was no real change. Samantha has really encouraged me through her direct honesty to realise the important responsibility I have to make real changes, and how I make these changes, rather than just turning up to my session once a week and expecting to be better because I paid money for therapy.

Samantha will adapt her sessions to you. She is very smart in this way. She will sense when you need to download. She will also take control of the session and direct it to help give you direction.

Further, she has a really good sense of humour. In addition to learning a lot and self reflecting, I always come away feeling like I have enjoyed the session which is quite impressive when you’ve spent 45 minutes in which a large portion you have spoken about things that deeply trouble you. She really helps you start to shift that perspective and give you techniques to go away to go and put that into practice.

I am so happy with Samantha as my therapist and I am extremely grateful to have found a therapist that really works for me.

Samantha has been truly amazing. She has not only listened, but advised, given me excellent guidance, made me laugh and given me a much better way of thinking and changed my mindset. I really recommend her and her wealth of experience!
Thank you Sam.
