Samantha Lai, LCSW
About me
I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in warmth, compassion, curiosity, and genuine connection. I take an individualized, integrative approach to therapy, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. Together, we’ll explore the experiences, patterns, relationships, and beliefs that may be keeping you feeling stuck, while building practical tools to help you navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.
My approach draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parts Work and Schema Therapy, and Humanistic approaches. I strive to create a therapeutic space where you can feel understood, supported, and free to explore both your past and present without judgment. My goal is not simply to help you manage difficult moments, but to help you develop a more compassionate and helpful relationship with yourself, become a stronger problem-solver and advocate for your needs, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
I believe healing happens in relationship and community. Whether you’re navigating a difficult transition, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, struggling in relationships, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I would be honored to work alongside you.
