I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is trained and motivated to improve the bio-psycho-social well-being of those with whom I work. Depending on the challenges of the clients and the settings, I provide non medical counseling and I may utilize these modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychotherapy. An Eclectic-Integrated approach can also be utilized with clients. I was a tenured university professor of social work for 20 years and I am skilled with providing career coaching, grief counseling, obesity reduction, and child and senior caregiving issues. I have been told that I am dynamic and wise and that I provide valuable insight and advice to people. I am also skilled at conducting research, writing grants, and providing life coaching.

Very thankful for Dr. Owens, she has a very understanding, calming, and reassuring presence about her. I truly look forward to talking her, every time I walk away feeling like I am on the right track, my problems seems more manageable, and I feel like she completely gets me and has my best interest in mind.
