About me

Hello and welcome to Better Help Counseling Services. My name is Sandra Sargent and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker . I have 12 years of experience as a clinical therapist and over 30 years of experience in the Human Service field. I have travelled extensively as a military spouse and have had the opportunity to work with a diverse population. I have worked with all ages from infancy through the end of life. My undergraduate degree is in Human Services and my Master's Degree is in Social Work specializing in working with adults, children, and families. My life journey has taken me in a myriad of directions from providing counseling and parenting classes to families, working within the foster care and adoption system, directing a teen pregnancy center in a high school, working as a clinical social worker with hospice and palliative care, and for the past 12 years working as a therapist with the Department of Defense assisting soldiers and their families with behavioral health issues. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, self-esteem, and stage of life adjustments.
