About me

Hello! I am a licensed master's level social worker in the state of Michigan. I earned by BASW from Michigan State University in 2016 and my MSW from University of Michigan in 2017. My background is primarily in crisis intervention and brief therapy. I have experience volunteering/working in a crisis center, a psychiatric hospital, and I am currently in my fourth year of working as an emergency department social worker. I have experience working with all ages from young children to geriatric.

I frequently say to persons that I come into contact with that therapy is a good idea for everyone (even therapists). I believe that everyone can benefit from having a dedicated person to talk through their thoughts and their struggles with without judgment. I believe in a warm, client-centered approach and draw from elements of cognitive behavioral therapy. I'd like to meet you where you are and help you along in your journey.

Sara Haggerty is a wonderful listener and gives the patient a lot of time to talk, and brings up many thought provoking things. Wonderful therapist, she is very kind and thoughtful and easy to open up to.
